Ek Udaan…

Ek udaan udni baaki hai,

Ek chalang lagani baki hai,

Roz ki bhag daud se alag ek daud lagani baki hai,

Is bheed se nikal kar ek zindagi jeeni baki hai…

***

Kab tak in pankh ko bandh kar rakhoge,

Kabhi to inhe failana he hai,

Aaj nahi to kal mujhe ud jana he hai,

In pinjaro main kuch din rok sake to khush na hona,

Ek din in salakho ko todhkar ud jana he hai…

***

Samaj ki bandshio ko ek din chodh jana hai,

Kisi aur ki nahi ek baar khud ki mahatvkanshao ko pura karna hai,

Duniya ki umeedo pe nahi par khudki aankho main samman pana hai,

Us khule aakash main apne sapno ki muskaan ko gale lagana hai…

***

In baaho ko failakar ek din apne ateet ko muskurakar awaz lagana hai…

Khuli aankho se dekhe har sapne ko sakar banana hai,

Samaj k faislo ki nahi apne soch ki udaan lagani hai,

Azaad vicharo ki udaan lagani hai,

***

Is udaan main gir bhi gaya to chot (injury) ka ehsaas na hoga,

Us behte hue lahu ka ek ek katra ek nayi udaan hoga,

Is udaan main maut bhi agar aayi to gumgeen na hona,

Kandho pe uthai arthi ko bhi meri mahatvkanshao ki bus ek udaan samajh lena…

Delhi – Hissar – Delhi —– A step towards a journey

SophieLens_2014_10_22_17_27

It was Diwali season, happiness was flowing through. I had a plan to be at home for this Diwali with family, everything was planned tickets were booked, bags were packed and I was ready to leave just a few touch up’s at office and I was ready to go. While I was riding back to my pg a sudden thought came in my mind that instead of taking a train I should ride to home. After analysing the odds I thought maybe I shouldn’t, let it be for the next time. College debates has made my brain to function in a comparative way, jumping onto conclusion with a cost benefit analysis of a whole situation along with the emotional quotient attached to bike riding it finally decided to ride back to home and finally heart prevailed over brain.

SophieLens_2014_10_27_06_39The Journey started somehow I was feeling that it wasn’t the first and last one of its kind there are more to come soon. Unaware of any route towards the destination I could only think of my loyalty towards My Nokia. I left without second thoughts in my mind, once you start to ride first thing you need to be aware of is fuel and air pressure hence the first stop was fuelling station.  I could feel the joy the intensity of happiness of going home was double since I was with my one true love. After riding for around a kilometre or half I realised I was missing something and I thought how can I forget it, it’s supposed to be the most important thing. I forgot to take the RC of bike and all the related documents. I had to go back to get it so that I don’t face any problem during the journey.

I was completely relying on my phone for the route and other phone for the songs but the moment I thought I should plug into some music I realised I forgot to transfer the songs to my phone and hence no entertainment till I reach home. I was guided by my GPS till the highway because by that time the battery drained out and the responsibility of finding rest of the root was on me. Starting with NH 10 the road started to become smoother and wider thanks to Mr Modi.

By the time I reached highway it was around 4 pm and hence I could see the sun getting down slowly and its effect on the road. The golden colour on road because of sun rays and its beauty is magnificent. Since I had no electronic device left for my entertainment I had lot of time to think about the things around me and interpret them into something beautiful, everything was looking attractive as I was in a joy of riding and the thought of Diwali at home.  When you ride constantly at an speed without any variation, at some point of time you will start feeling as if you are not even moving or riding very slowly even if you are at 100+ you need more speed that time your hunger for speed is unbearable and you try your level best to achieve the maximum you can but you will end up being disappointed because nothing is fast enough at that time.

That feel of breeze that smell of nature you actually feel you are a part of nature and as Mr. Rober M. Pirsig has said in his book Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance “you see things vacationing on a motorcycle in a way completely different from any other. In a car you’re always in a compartment, and because you’re used to it you don’t realise that car window everything you see is just more TV. You’re a passive observer and it is all moving by you boringly in a frame. On a cycle the frame is gone. You‘re completely in contact with it all, and the scene of presence is overwhelming. That concrete whizzing by five inches below your foot is real thing, the same stuff you walk on, it’s right there, so blurred you can’t focus on it, yet you can put your foot down and touch it anytime, and the whole thing, the whole experience, is never removed from immediate consciousness . You’re in the scene, not just watching it anymore.” During a morning ride you get fresh air and as Tyler Durden said it “oxygen gets you high”  I have started believing in it. After this ride I can say yes it does may be for a fraction of a second but it actually does.

You may think a lot about everything but when you ride and without any sort of entertainment you actually get time to think not about something which makes you sad or happy but about something what you have always ignored because of lot of work. The ride gives you a time to be with yourself  and attain peace with yourself
